Face pulled away as Murdock tried to kiss him.	

"Facey? What's wrong?"	

"Murdock, what have you been eating?"  

"Uh, some tuna sandwiches. Why?" 

"How many did you eat?" 

Murdock thought for a moment and counted on his 

fingers. 

"Uh, about four, I think. Why?" 

"Four? You ate four of them? Murdock, uh, well, you 

have 

...uh.." 

"Come on, Face, say it." 

"Murdock, you need to brush your teeth. I'm sorry, 

but 

your breath stinks." 

Murdock blew into his hand and took a sniff. "Hmm, 

that 

does smell bad. Be back in a jif, Face." 

Murdock went into the bathroom and took the tooth 

brush and brushed his teeth with gusto. Soon he 

returned 

and tried to kiss Face again. But Face still pulled 

away. 

"Face, I brushed my teeth. Didn't it help? 

"Sorry, Murdock." 

"Gosh, Face, now what? I don't want bad breath for 

the 

rest of my life. You'll never kiss me again." 

Face slowly took out a pack of gum. "Here, try this, 

it's a new brand. It said it stops bad breath on 

contract." 

Taking the gum, Murdock replied, "Okay, I'll try 

anything." 

Murdock placed the gum in his mouth, and chewed and 

chewed 

and chewed. When he was done, Face came foward. 

"Well, let's find out if it worked, shall we, 

Murdock?" 

"Okay, Face." 

Face placed his lips on Murdock. "Aw, that's better. 

Now 

your breath smells minty clean." 

"Hey, Face, what was the name of that gum?" 

"I don't know, but who cares? Come on, Murdock, kiss 

me 

like you never did before." 

Murdock gave no answer, just granted Face's wish.
